From a small airfreight company with a limited number of employees, founded by Lothar Prisille in 1997 in Langenhagen near Hanover, we have grown into a modern enterprise that connects worlds over the last twenty years.
We are a family-run, market-oriented business. Flat hierarchies and short decision-making paths enable us to be flexible.
This means, we can also quickly adapt to changing customer requirements and market conditions.
Since the foundation of the company a good 20 years ago a great deal has happened. We’re particularly proud of some of the milestones, though:
On 1 August 1997, Lothar Prisille founds the company called mardin Transport GmbH, with business premises in Frankenring 14, Langenhagen.
The day the company is established, the first airfreight shipment is processed. KLM flies around 1.8 tons of cargo to Minneapolis, USA, on our order.
Move to our new company head office in Münchner Straße 40, Langenhagen.
On 7 January, we conclude a collaboration agreement with our partner BEL International Limited in Hong Kong. Today, we can look back on a partnership that has lasted more than 20 years.
mardin Transport GmbH receives the ‘Sales Millionaire’ award from Lufthansa Cargo AG.
On 1 January, mardin Transport attains IATA Agent status.
In August, Marcel and Nadine Prisille, Lothar Prisille’s children, join the company. They both played a major role in 1997, when it came to choosing a name for the company – Marcel and Nadine.
Opening of the Hamburg branch.
mardin Transport receives the SWISS Loyalty Award for the first time; and then again in 2005.
Celebration of the company’s 10th anniversary, together with employees, long-standing customers and companions.
The annual turnover tops the 10 million EUR mark for the first time.
On 23 February 2009, MARDIN is one of the first German logistics service providers to be granted AEO status (AEO-F).
Relaunch of the mardin Transport brand with a new corporate identity.
Celebration of the company’s 20th anniversary in a convivial atmosphere, with employees and companions.
